The new X-twist is specially designed for top-down furling systems and inner forestay furlers. The X-Twist is a smart, light and small pull load reducer for your Equiplite™ furling drum. This easy to install tool reduces the force needed to pre-tension a furling system. And without employing moving parts and due to the use of lightweight aluminium parts with a special *Nituff surface treatment, it’s completely maintenance free! More important the X-Twist will prevent the furling drum from turning sideways when torque is applied.

  *Nituff® is a new surface treatment that dramatically enhances the properties of a hard anodize coating. This proprietary process penetrates PTFE (Teflon®) into a precision hard anodize coating to achieve a self-curing, self-lubricating surface with low friction, high corrosion resistance, and dielectric properties superior to ordinary hard anodize.

Important note:

The X-Twist should not be considered a replacement for 2:1 (block) setups. Altough friction on the X-Twist is low, it cannot be compared to the performance of a plain bearing sheave.
